Prof. Henryk Gurgul
Faculty of Management, AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, Poland

Professor Henryk Gurgul was graduated from Faculty of Management, University of Economics in 1977 and the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, AGH University of Science and Technology in 1980, both in Kraków. He was a visiting professor or lecturer at universities in Austria, Finland, Germany, Italy, Spain and Slovenia. Prof. Gurgul was supervisor of 12 PhD dissertations and referee of numerous dissertations and habilitations from Poland and from abroad.

Prof. Gurgul is also editor of two scientific journals, member of editorial board of three economic journals and a referee of numerous articles in international journals. He is an active member of several international scientific societies, including International Statistical Institute (Elected Member). Professor Gurgul is scientific secretary of Economic Commission of the Kraków Branch of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences and member of Presidium of the Krakow Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences. His research is focused on financial econometrics, economic growth, macroeconomics and multisectoral input-output models.

During his career he has published several monographs, textbooks, proceedings of international conferences, and scientific articles, especially in impacted journals. In 2011 he also translated from German into Polish the textbook by Matschke and Broesel "Unternehmensbewertung" (in English "Enterprise valuation", Springer-Verlag 2007). In 2015 prof. Gurgul received the Medal of Honor of the University of Graz, Austria.
