Discipline of Economics and Finance

Economics and finance are disciplines that study economic processes both at the micro level (individuals, companies) and the macro level (entire economies). They encompass economic theory, finance, accounting, management, as well as related fields such as econometrics and data analysis.

Council of the Discipline of Economics and Finance

The main tasks of the council include:

  • Supervising the quality of scientific research conducted in the discipline. 
  • Reviewing and approving topics of doctoral and habilitation theses, as well as appointing supervisors and reviewers.   
  • Conducting advancement proceedings – awarding the academic degrees of Doctor (PhD) and Habilitated Doctor (DSc).
